Sharing a cordial relationship during their respective careers, a hypothetical clash of Floyd Mayweather and Terence Crawford would be one-way traffic, according to a veteran analyst.
Fast approaching his return to the ring, unbeaten former undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford will make his debut at the super middleweight limit.

And challenging for undisputed gold from the get-go, Crawford takes on Mexican megastar Canelo Alvarez in the pair’s high-profile blockbuster in Las Vegas.

However, given his recent allegiance with the iconic Floyd Mayweather, fans have posed the question on how a fight between Crawford and the Michigan star would play out in their primes.
And according to one such boxing personality, the dream bout would likely produce one winner over and over again.

Wholly unlikely to ever share the ring together, cordial stars Mayweather and Crawford would have been scintillating viewing during their peaks in the squared circle against each other, however.
And having already taken on and defeated a much younger Canelo during the Mexican’s initial rise in the sport, Mayweather is the proud owner of the moniker as the first fighter to defeat the super middleweight star.
Seemingly inserting himself into affairs between Canelo and Crawford, Mayweather has even been cited as the perfect style to defeat someone like the Jalisco star, with the challenger encouraged to use that patented style come September 13.
And while briefly touching on a hypothetical matchup between Mayweather and Crawford, a boxing personality is confident there is only one outcome.
“(Floyd) Mayweather wants to put his name in there [amongst talk of Canelo vs. Crawford],” Davies told Boxing King Media. “I do think Mayweather would’ve beaten Terence Crawford at welterweight.
“It would have been a fantastic fight,” Davies continued. “It’s good to see Mayweather there.”
And while already suffering defeat to Mayweather during the Grand Rapids star’s late career pomp, Canelo is fully aware what is on the line when he finally tussles with Crawford in ‘Sin City’.

So far unchecked and undefeated at the super middleweight limit, Canelo’s sole other loss in the ring came as high as light heavyweight in an unsuccessful bid to topple Russian star Dmitry Bivol.
And still considered far and away one of the best boxers of his generation, akin to Mayweather’s blockbuster with Manny Pacquiao, Canelo admits there is much on the line in terms of stakes when all is said and done post-Crawford.
“[The fight with] Terence (Crawford) is different,” Canelo told The Ring. “You can feel it right away.
“And you know how big — how important [the fight is] for my legacy.”
