Floyd Mayweather produced a sublime performance to beat Manny Pacquaio back in 2015, but one boxing icon wasn’t impressed.
After years of waiting, the world stood still as ‘Money’ and ‘PacMan’ traded blows in front of a sold-out MGM Grand In Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
But while the contest produced unrivaled levels of hype in the build-up, on the night, it failed to deliver, with the American cruising to victory.
Mayweather even went as far as to describe Pacquiao as an easy opponent.

Roy Jones Jr doesn’t give Floyd Mayweather credit for beating Manny Pacquaio
At the peak of his powers, Manny Pacquiao was a truly terrifying individual, with lightning speed and freakish power.
However, in the eyes of many, he was never the same after being rendered unconscious by Juan Manuel Marquez.
With this in mind, Roy Jones Jr believes that Floyd Mayweather shouldn’t be boasting about beating an arguably faded version of a former great.
In an interview with The Podghost Podcast, he exclaimed: “I would not be able to take credit for beating Pacquiao after he got beat by Marquez, because that’s not the same Pacquiao. That’s not Pacquiao at the top of his game.
“But in society today, we’ll call that person ‘The best fighter ever’, when that’s not how this goes, that’s not reality. But in the business world, it is, because look at how much money he made.”

Floyd Mayweather says Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter he ever faced
While Mayweather has shown zero restraint in firing verbal bombs at Pacquiao in the years since their fight, he’s still willing to give respect where it’s due.
In his remarkable career, the Michigan boxer went toe-to-toe with some of the greatest of all time.
And in his opinion, the Filipino superstar was better than all of them.
During an interesting interview, Mayweather explained what makes Pacquiao so special.
