Floyd Mayweather could make a major comeback against an arch-rival.
The American hasn’t fought professionally since defeating Conor McGregor in 2017.
However, since that night, he’s competed in eight exhibition bouts, with the most recent taking place against John Gotti III in 2024.
But now, he’s reportedly ready to jump back into the deep end for one last major showdown.

Floyd Mayweather is reportedly in talks for boxing return
With Manny Pacquiao set to face Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title on Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather is reportedly getting itchy knuckles.
Boxing Scene journalist, Lance Pugmire, says he’s been told that talks have started to make a mega rematch should the Filipino emerge victorious.
He tweeted: “Went over to @FloydMayweather Boxing Club upon my arrival today in Vegas for @MannyPacquiao fight week, was told to expect Floyd to attend with two fighters on the card. ‘Conversations are already happening … if Manny wins, this (rematch) could be worth billions,’ I was told.”
The pair first fought in 2015, with the American cruising to victory via unanimous decision, prompting Mayweather to call Pacquiao an ‘easy fight’.
Now, it appears he’s keen to do the double over his nemesis and make a lot of money in the process.
Would Manny Pacquiao have beaten Floyd Mayweather before his loss to Juan Manuel Marquez?
While Mayweather handled Pacquiao very comfortably, that might not have been the case had the fight happened earlier.
When the eight-weight world champion was at his best, he was nothing short of terrifying, destroying his opponents with his ferocious power.
However, after his knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, he was never the same again.
Interestingly, a Hall of Famer revealed whether prime Pacquiao would’ve beaten Mayweather.
