Floyd Mayweather reacts to being named ESPN’s Boxer of the Century

ESPN has just named Floyd Mayweather as the greatest boxer of the 21st century.

And the American was unsurprisingly extremely happy to receive the accolade.

In a post uploaded to his Instagram, the 50-0 fighter said: “I want to thank @espnringside for recognizing my hard work and dedication. It’s an honor to be ranked on this list alongside 24 truly talented champions.

“I’m forever grateful to my father for teaching me everything, to my mother for always believing in me, and last but not least, my uncle Roger. May he rest in peace.”

Mayweather was undeniably brilliant on fight night.

However, it wasn’t just his athletic skills that made him a star, but his ability on the mic, with the boxer joining forces with Conor McGregor to make a truly special event.
