Keyshawn Davis became a world champion for the first time thanks to an impressive victory on Friday night.
Davis went into his bout with Denys Berinchyk (19-1) having just 12 professional fights, however, he was able to stop the Ukrainian and become the WBO World Lightweight champion.
A brutal left hand to the body of Berinchyk would put the Ukrainian down in round three. Then, in the following round, another shot to the body would spell the end of the fight, as Berinchyk was knocked down and did not return to his feet.
Despite his lack of professional fights and being just 25 years of age, Davis now finds himself as a world champion, with plenty of options for his next fight.
In terms of possible opponents for ‘The Businessman’, here are five names he could possibly step in the ring with.

Gervonta Davis
As the biggest name of the division, Keyshawn Davis may be looking towards a huge showdown with Gervonta Davis.
Gervonta Davis is set to take on Lamont Roach on March 1st, however, Keyshawn Davis could be a potential opponent should ‘Tank’ extend his unbeaten record.

Keyshawn Davis called out Gervonta Davis earlier in the week ahead of his title fight, and has expressed interest in fighting the superstar on many occasions.
Should Gervonta Davis get past Roach, there is no clear option for his following opponent, meaning Keyshawn Davis could be a viable option.

Teofimo Lopez
Some tensions began to rise between Davis and Teofimo Lopez during the days leading up to ‘The Businessman’s’ title bout.
Lopez allegedly sent ‘racist’ gifts to Davis on fight week. This would lead to Davis saying that he would not fight Lopez due to his actions.
However, Lopez currently holds the WBO World Super Lightweight title. This means that should Davis wish to become a two division champion, it could be a viable option for him.
Lopez has also previously competed in the lightweight division. This means that he may look to return to the weight class to take on Davis.

Vasyl Lomachenko
If Davis wishes to go in the direction of unifying the division, then he may look to face another Ukrainian in Vasyl Lomachenko.
Currently the holder of the IBF World Lightweight title, the 18-3 fighter defeated George Kambosas Jr. in his last outing.
Currently not scheduled to fight, Lomachenko could look to make his first title defense versus Davis in his next fight.

Shakur Stevenson
Although Davis has publicly stated that he will not fight Shakur Stevenson in the future, the comments were made before he became a fellow world lightweight champion.
If unification is the aim for Davis, then he will either have to hope Stevenson loses his bout to Floyd Schofield on February 22nd, or face his friend.
Although fans have been calling for the fight to be made following Davis’ victory, Stevenson has also denied interest in the bout.
It seems unlikely the two will share the ring given their personal connection, however, it is not impossible.

William Zepeda Segura
The current WBC Interim World Lightweight champion is Mexican fighter William Zepeda Segura.
Although he is currently scheduled to fight Tevin Farmer on March 29th, Segura will likely look to becoming a full champion should he win his next bout.
With a record of 32-0, Segura and Davis could have a matchup that fans would be intrigued by. However, there is currently no indication as to who Segura may fight following his fight with Farmer.
