‘First time for everything’… Jake Paul promises to do to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr what no man has ever done before

Jake Paul will face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr this weekend on June 28th.

Jake Paul will face what may be his toughest challenge yet against former middleweight world champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Chavez will be fighting Paul at cruiserweight and has been plagued by inactivity, with just one win against a 1-0 opponent in the last four years. Chavez Jr was also beaten by Anderson Silva, an MMA fighter, in 2021.

Despite this, Paul agreed with one observation about the Mexican son of a legend that shows he is still a dangerous opponent.

Jake Paul will be the first to truly beat up Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

In their face-to-face on DAZN, Chavez Jr, who fought on Paul’s undercard once, spoke on his losses, but maintained that even when he’s falling short, “Nobody has whooped his a–.”

Paul agreed with the claim, stating: “I would agree with that, first time for everything.”

Paul believes he will be the first to truly beat up Chavez Jr, though to say the Mexican fighter hasn’t been whooped isn’t entirely true as Chavez quit against Daniel Jacobs after being outclassed for five rounds.

Chavez Jr. boasts a record of 54-6-1, with one of his losses coming at the hands of Canelo Alvarez.

Jake Paul could fight for a world title if he beats Chavez Jr

On the undercard for Paul vs Chavez Jr, Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez will make a defense of his cruiserweight title against Yuniel Dorticos.

Ramirez’ last fight saw the Mexican dethrone Chris Billam-Smith, handing him his second ever loss, and only loss not to be avenged.

Ramirez has expressed that he is open to defending his title against Paul, who is a natural cruiserweight.

This means Paul, who predicts an ’embarrassing’ night for Chavez Jr, could fight for a world title in his 14th or 15th fight.
