Former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson, is widely regarded by boxing fans as the most dangerous fighter of all time but Evander Holyfield believes a current star is more dangerous.
‘Iron Mike’ became the youngest heavyweight champion ever when he beat Trevor Berbick in 1986 to become the new WBC heavyweight champion.
Mike Tyson then went on to have a career of pure destruction and became the undisputed heavyweight champion in 1987 when he beat Tony Tucker in the heavyweight unification series.

Evander Holyfield names current boxer more destructive than Mike Tyson
In 1996, Tyson and Evander Holyfield had their first meeting, sparking the beginning of one of the biggest rivalries in combat sports history.
Holyfield won the first meeting with a TKO win in the 11th round, winning the WBA heavyweight title. They then rematched under a year later in the infamous fight where Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear off in a shocking scene.
Despite Holyfield having felt the destructiveness of Tyson on several occasions, he doesn’t agree with the majority that ‘Iron Mike’ is the most dangerous and has surprisingly named Gervonta Davis ‘more dangerous’.
‘Tank’ is currently undefeated at 30-0, and has picked up extremely impressive wins over the likes of Ryan Garcia, Mario Barrios, and Frank Martin.
“He’s a very good fighter, and he’s a guy that’s put time in and he’s a skilled fighter, a very skillful fighter,” Holyfield told Fight Hype.
“He reminds me of Pernell Whitaker. It’s different (to Tyson), see, Pernell Whitaker was a skillful boxer and Tank is a skillful boxer and a hard puncher, he got both of them so that would make him even more dangerous (than Tyson),” he continued.

Gervonta Davis told he is avoiding undefeated phenom
The 30-year-old shocked the boxing world when he recently admitted that he is looking to retire from boxing at the end of 2025 as he is ‘tired’ of the sport.
The Lightweight champion is scheduled to make his first appearance of his retirement tour this coming March 1, when he defends his title against Lamont Roach Jr.
Having said that, Davis has been told he is only retiring to avoid a potential future fight with the undefeated, Floyd Schofield.
Floyd Sr recently told talkSPORT that he believes Davis is going to retire before he has to clash with his son, ‘Kid Austin’.
“Gerovonta said, ‘I would never get into the ring with that guy’. And two years ago I told the world that when Floyd gets up to that level where he’s mandatory to Gervonta, Gervonta will retire,” he said.
Schofield is scheduled for the biggest fight of his career thus far when he takes on Shakur Stevenson for the WBC Lightweight title this February.
