Eddie Hearn reveals Katie Taylor’s main request ahead of potential Amanda Serrano trilogy

Eddie Hearn looks to make Katie Taylor’s ultimate dream come true, insisting that he must deliver one last monumental event to define her scintillating career.

The Irishwoman locked horns with Amanda Serrano in a compelling rematch last Friday, securing a highly contentious unanimous decision victory at the AT&T Stadium, Texas.

Regardless of the result, though, both Katie Taylor and Serrano put on a thrilling show for the 70,000 fans in attendance, displaying exactly what elite level boxing is all about.

But, while their two action-packed encounters have, rightly or wrongly, both swung in favor of Taylor, it appears that a trilogy is now the obvious next step.

Eddie Hearn names two potential locations for Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3

As expected, Taylor and Serrano’s enthralling 10-round battle outshone Jake Paul’s pedestrian performance against Mike Tyson in the uninspiring main-event that followed shortly after.

All four combatants, of course, appeared on Netflix’s first ever live boxing event, which was reportedly viewed across the world by around 100 million people.

And so, the two icons of women’s boxing ultimately benefited from the magnitude of the occasion, with both having earned their career-highest paydays.

With Taylor emerging victorious, however, there was a clear mixture of emotions by the time the judges’ scorecards were revealed.

In truth, there were perhaps none more ecstatic than Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn, who clashed with Serrano’s manager shortly after his over-the-top celebration.

Still, having promoted Taylor since her professional debut, Hearn remains fiercely passionate about his fighter and now looks to explore two potential venues for her next outing.

“For me, [Taylor vs Serrano 3] makes a lot of sense,” Eddie Hearn told Matchroom Boxing.

“There’s a lot of boxes still to tick in the request line for Katie Taylor. One is Croke Park, and one is Las Vegas.

“If we can look at something at the Sphere [in Las Vegas], if we can look at that legacy-defining event at Croke Park [in Ireland]… They’re things that would really interest Katie Taylor.

“It’s gonna take something special for [Taylor] to get back in the ring. It’s got to be something at this stage that really, you know, just lights her heart up.”

Will Katie Taylor fight at the Sphere or Croke Park?

Taylor has always expressed her desire to headline a homecoming at Croke Park, an 80 thousand-plus capacity stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

However, with Hearn now teasing the possibility of staging her next fight at the Sphere in Las Vegas, the 38-year-old’s mind could easily be swayed.

The first combat sports event to take place at the Sphere, a venue known for its immersive experience, was UFC 306 earlier this year.

And yet, while both venues would certainly deliver incredible atmospheres, the most important thing is for Taylor and Serrano to collide once again.
