Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is not opposed to staging Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul soon.
Eddie Hearn has recently revealed that Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul could very well happen.
What was initially met with ridicule has now become a genuine possibility, as Paul, who began boxing in 2020, called out Joshua ahead of his fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., whom he defeated.
Now, as Joshua, who could face Tony Yoka next, seeks to rebuild following a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Daniel Dubois, a fight with Jake Paul could be a means of securing an easy payday, and eliminating a little ring rust.
Hearn has revealed in an interview with The Stomping Ground how much money it may take to make the fight.

Eddie Hearn says Jake Paul will want more than 40M to face Anthony Joshua
In the interview, Hearn was asked about a rumor that Paul’s team would be meeting with Hearn for talks regarding the fight very soon.
Hearn responded, “Yeah, I believe they’re in London this week. I think that for us, we’re planning to fight someone else, other than Jake Paul, just because we can’t rely on Jake Paul accepting the fight. The fight’s huge, the more you talk about it, the more you realize how big it is, and if he wants to do it, we’ll do it, but we’ve also got to plan our future.”
Turki Alalshikh recently suggested he was open to making the fight, too, with the hopes that Paul will lose and withdraw from the boxing world.
Regardless of public perception, Paul is making a brave move, even calling out Joshua, who will likely dismantle him with ease if the two ever enter the ring together.
Paul also attended Usyk vs Dubois 2, and entered the ring to call out Usyk to an MMA fight.
Speaking on Paul’s price for the AJ fight, Hearn entertained some guesses from the interviewer,
Hearn’s response to a guess of 15 million: “No chance”
25 million: “No chance”
40 million: “You’re getting warmer. Whilst he’s got people around him that probably pump s— into his head and tell him he’s the second coming of Ali, he’s not an idiot. He knows the risks associated with this fight, and this fight is very dangerous, like very dangerous.”
“You’ve got to be north of the numbers you’re talking. […] He knows it’s dangerous.”
Roy Jones Jr. approves of AJ vs Jake Paul, suggesting it would be great for boxing.
