Eddie Hearn has made a surprising claim about Anthony Joshua that will divide opinion ahead of his fight with Daniel Dubois.

Anthony Joshua will face Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight championship on September 21 at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua will have the chance to become a three-time world champion after previously losing his titles to Andy Ruiz and Oleksandr Usyk.

Eddie Hearn believes unusual thing about Anthony Joshua

Joshua’s ability to take a shot has been questioned in recent years, after a stoppage defeat to Ruiz and being hurt in fights with Usyk and Wladimir Klitschko.

However, Hearn believes the heavyweight has a solid chin and has stood up to punches that most fighters would have fallen to.

He told Seconds Out: “AJ has a really, really good chin. Watch the shots AJ took in the Wladimir Klitschko fight. The right hand that would’ve decapitated a normal man, AJ got up from.

“Even vs Andy Ruiz, he kept getting up. Oleksandr Usyk hit him with the kitchen sink and he never had him out.

“Look what happened to Tyson Fury, never saw AJ like that in that fight. AJ’s got a great chin.”

Eddie Hearn could be right about Anthony Joshua’s chin

Joshua has one of the best resumes not just in the heavyweight division, but in boxing itself.

The British fighter has taken on all challengers throughout his career and has wins over Dillian Whyte, Klitschko, Ruiz, and Alexander Povetkin.

Hearn is right about Joshua climbing off the floor against Klitschko, the right hand that dropped him has ended countless heavyweights.

Joshua may have been stopped against Ruiz, but has shown on countless occasions that he can take a shot off some of the biggest punchers in the division.
