Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn has been in attendance for some incredible fights over the years but he has narrowed down his top five of all time.
On his way to becoming one of the more widely recognized promoters in boxing, Eddie Hearn has been in attendance for many fights that will go down in the history of the sport.
This coming weekend, one of the greatest events ever will take place in Saudi Arabia, with several titles on the line during ‘The Last Crescendo’ event, and a few of the fights could end up making it onto the list for the greatest fights of all time.

Eddie Hearn picks Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano as greatest fight of all time as he lists his top 5
Ahead of the blockbuster event in the Kingdom, Hearn has listed his top five greatest fights of all time with a few of them being surprising additions.
“Top five fights of all time, I’m gonna keep it quite current, not too current, I’m gonna go for Michael Brodie vs Injin Chi, it’s one for the purists,” Hearn began during his interview with Ring Magazine.
In 2003, Michael Brodie and Injin Chi squared off for the vacant WBC Featherweight title, in Manchester England. The fight turned out to be a back-and-forth war and ended in a controversial draw.
Although this was a tremendous fight, it isn’t considered one of the greatest of all time by many, other than Hearn.
“Number four, I’m gonna go for (Oleksandr) Usyk vs (Tyson) Fury 1, love that fight,” Hearn continued.
Of course, Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury is one of the greatest recent rivalries in the sport, and their first meeting last May will go down as a classic. The Ukrainian came close to finishing the gritty ‘Gypsy King’ but ended up picking up the split decision win.
The two rematched later last year and Fury retired from the sport after he suffered back-to-back losses to Usyk. Despite his retirement, Hearn is still hopeful that he will return to the ring.
“Number three, I’m gonna go for (Anthony) Joshua vs (Wladimir) Klitschko,” Hearn added.
Before his unfortunate downward spiral in the sport, Anthony Joshua put on an incredible performance against Wladimir Klitschko in 2017, knocking him out in round 11.
“Number two, I’m gonna go for, we’re gonna have to keep it traditional with the answer everyone gives which is (Micky) Ward vs (Arturo) Gatti,” Hearn picked for his second spot.
This is the first pick on Hearn’s list that is widely agreed upon by the majority of the boxing fanbase as the 2002 fight between Micky Ward and Arturo Gatti will go down as one of the greatest ever.
“Number one I’m gonna go for Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden,” Hearn picked at his greatest fight ever.
In April 2022, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano made history, becoming the first women’s boxing fight to headline Madison Square Garden. The fight that followed was an absolute spectacle and is considered to be one of the greatest fights to ever take place in the historical arena.
Fans react to Eddie Hearn’s ‘pathetic’ top 5 list
It’s fair to say Hearn continuously seems to split the boxing fanbase with his hot takes and his top five list is no different as fans have shared their reactions to his ‘pathetic’ list.
“Pathetic list of all-time great fights… Where’s Ali vs Frazier? What a joke,” one fan commented.
Another fan said: “Modern or not, the list is terrible.”
Fans in attendance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this coming Saturday will be hoping that the rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol can find itself top of people’s lists come Sunday morning.
