Shakur Stevenson has given his reaction after Floyd Schofield scored a stunning knockout victory.
Shakur Stevenson was set to face Floyd Schofield on the Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev 2 undercard, but was forced to find a new opponent after Schofield withdrew with illness.
Stevenson faced Josh Padley, an electrician-turned-boxer, and scored a knockout victory.
Now, months later, Schofield has returned to the ring and impressed many.

Shakur Stevenson unimpressed with Floyd Schofield’s one-round KO of Tevin Farmer
On the undercard of Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a fight which Paul won by unanimous decision, Schofield (19-0) took on Tevin Farmer (33-8-1).
Farmer holds a handful of losses, but had only been stopped twice going into the fight.
Farmer had also shared the ring with some high-caliber opposition – from Raymond Muratella who is now a world champion after Lomachenko‘s retirement, to William Zepeda, who Farmer almost beat in two close fights.
Zepeda is now set to face Stevenson, who ruled Schofield’s win over Farmer as merely Farmer being irresponsible.
“Any fighter dangerous in the first round, especially these lil kids… Don’t get hyped too off Tev being irresponsible.”
Schofield needed just 78 seconds to stop Farmer, whose other stoppage losses have come in the final round of a four and an eight-rounder.
Floyd Schofield wants to make up for lost time as he calls out Shakur Stevenson
With their first fight having been cancelled after Schofield’s withdrawal, the win over Farmer has made ‘Kid Austin’ all the more keen to get back into negotiations for a fight with the champion.
In a video recorded after the win, Schofield’s father can be seen saying, “We want Shakur. We want that belt.”
With Schofield handling Farmer, who Shakur’s next opponent struggled with, with ease, fans are now more curious than ever how a fight between Schofield and Stevenson would pan out.
