Dillian Whyte’s career seems to be reaching its final chapter as ‘The Bodysnatcher’ has reportedly begun negotiations for a fight with dangerous contender, Moses Itauma.
Dillian Whyte‘s career has seen some turbulent times lately.
After a devastating loss to Tyson Fury, Whyte has had just three fights, two against lackluster opposition in Christian Hammer and Ebenzer Tetteh, and another where he scraped a win against Jermaine Franklin.
On top of that, Whyte has suffered a failed drugs test leading to the cancellation of a rematch with Anthony Joshua, withdrew from a fight with Joe Joyce, and withdrew from another fight that was set for Fabio Wardley‘s undercard.
At the age of 37, it’s clear Whyte does not have many fights left, and may be looking to cash out against the fierce and fast-rising prospect. Despite this, Whyte’s manager believes he can beat Itauma.

‘He can beat any heavyweight in the world’… Dillian Whyte’s manager is confident he has Moses Itauma’s number
Despite many believing Whyte, who Carl Froch says is done, is over the hill and will be light work for Itauma, who needs a step up after blitzing Mike Balogun in his last fight, his manager has the utmost faith that Whyte has what it takes.
He said, “Dillian, over the years, has told you that he’s willing to fight anybody. […] We see Moses is doing some good stuff, so we’re definitely having some conversations.”
He continued: “I believe if Dillian gets it right, he can beat any heavyweight in the world. He’s another fighting man that believes in himself and he’s mentally very strong.”
Itauma is 12-0 now with 10 knockouts, whilst Whyte, who Lawrence Okolie accused of ducking, is 31-3.
Dillian Whyte was beaten with the same punch three times
In 2015, Whyte suffered his first loss in a British title grudge-match against Joshua.
There was some back and forth, but it was all over in the seventh round when Joshua snapped Whyte’s head back with a right uppercut, sending him crumpling to the canvas.

It would be five years before he lost again, this time against Alexander Povetkin. Whyte was up on the scorecards and had even dropped Povetkin twice at this point, but in the fifth round a left uppercut changed everything and Povetkin switched Whyte’s lights off.
His final loss came against Tyson Fury in 2022, when, in the sixth round, Fury threw Whyte’s kryptonite at him – an uppercut, knocking him out.
