In a rare Sunday evening slugfest, Dillian ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte earned the seventh-round TKO against Ghanaian heavyweight Ebenezer Tetteh in Gibraltar.
The matchmaking might have raised one or two eyebrows, but Whyte and Tetteh certainly put on a ‘Rock n Roll’ show for those in attendance; now, ‘The Body Snatcher’ believes that he’s in the perfect position to have a stellar 2025.

Dillian Whyte shows respect to Ebenezer Tetteh after slugfest in Gibraltar
Dillian Whyte was expected to run through Ebenezer Tetteh, but the Brixton brawler certainly didn’t have it all his own way; being badly wobbled on a few occasions before eventually getting the seventh-round TKO.
Whilst ‘The Body Snatcher’ was surprised by the Ghanaian’s durability, after going just three rounds in the past two years, he’s delighted to have been able to get the extra time in the ring.
“He did [bring it], he did – he’s a credit [to his team] … You know, I trained myself for this fight and I worked hard because I knew that there was a possibility that the fight was going to go long because he’s tough.
“He comes from a turbulent country you know; he doesn’t have a lot so he’s fighting to change his life – and I know what that’s like, I know what it’s like to fight someone like that.”
Tetteh might have been a relatively unknown name, but with 20 of his 23 wins coming by KO/TKO, there was more than enough danger as the big man started swinging in the fourth.
“Ey, he was swinging but I was happy with my defense, he was looking for one-hitter quitter, but I was happy with my defense, my jab was good.
“I’ve taken a lot of hard fights, I risk my position a lot – I could’ve fought easier guys than Ebenezer Tetteh, he’s only lost to Daniel Dubois who’s a world champion… I knew he was going to give me a good fight and he did.
“I paid him a lot of money [for this] and I’m happy [with the result],” concluded Whyte.
Dillian Whyte targets ‘four fights in 2025’ including Anthony Joshua rematch
Whatever you think of the opponent or the fight itself, victory over Tetteh does put Dillian Whyte back into the heavyweight conversation and as the New Year approaches, the British juggernaut hopes to carry this momentum through into 2025.
Speaking via Platform Sports, Whyte would tease that his goal is to remain as active as possible in the hopes of eventually getting the long-awaited rematch with Anthony Joshua.
“I would love to fight four times next year if I can, you know, I want to be busy and if a big fight comes, it comes but if not, I want to be busy, I want to fight… And I’d love to get one more fight and get the rematch with AJ after.”
White and Joshua first fought back in 2015 (a seventh-round KO for AJ) and were scheduled to face each other again in August 2023 before Whyte failed a pre-fight drugs test.

It’ll be interesting to see whether Joshua would be interested in facing Whyte next, especially since Daniel Dubois has opted to fight Joseph Parker instead on the upcoming Riyadh Season card in February.
Whyte is also desperate to get a Saudi Arabian showcase fight, telling DAZN Boxing: “I would love to be on a Riyadh season card, obviously I try to be value for money – these people here spent their hard-earned money to come out and see me, and I think they’re happy.”
Dillian Whyte; always value for money.
