Dillian Whyte stuns fans with weight loss ahead of risky Moses Itauma clash

Dillian Whyte is taking a huge risk as he is set to face Moses Itauma on August 16th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Dillian Whyte‘s career has been unimpressive lately. Following his big win over Alexander Povetkin, avenging his second defeat, Whyte waited over a year for his shot at Tyson Fury, only to be completely outclassed in the ring.

Since then, Whyte has scraped a win over Jermaine Franklin, pulled out of a rematch with Anthony Joshua after testing positive for a banned substance, withdrew from a clash with Joe Joyce and a fight on Fabio Wardley‘s undercard, and beaten two lackluster opponents.

Whyte will now face rising prospect Moses Itauma, in a fight many believe could be the last for ‘The Bodysnatcher’.

‘Looks about 4 stone lighter’… Dillian Whyte appears slimmer in new interview

In an interview with IFL TV, fans were able to witness Whyte for the first time in months, and, despite only really seeing his face, fans could tell he is seriously trying to get in shape for the fight.

Whyte, who was offered AJ and Parker before choosing Itauma, was asked how much weight he’d lost, but didn’t reveal an answer, and instead said, “Chipping away. just taking it day by day.”

Fans addressed the weight loss, with one suggesting Whyte “looks 4 stone lighter”, and another stating, “Dillian looks in great condition. Best I’ve seen him.”

Whyte’s career heaviest weight was 271lbs when he faced Mariusz Wach, though he has since stuck mostly around 250-255lbs.

Given his inactivity and mileage, Whyte has been written off by many, who see the knockout-artist Itauma as the next big thing in heavyweight boxing.

Whyte’s former coach, Mark Tibbs, believes Itauma will beat Whyte. Whyte’s former foe, Dave Allen, believes Itauma will win by KO.
