Dillian Whyte names four fights he wants as he prepares to return after freak injury

Dillian Whyte was originally set to face Joe Joyce but after his withdrawal seeks opportunities with some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division.

Dillian Whyte was set to put some momentum back into his career with a bout against Joe Joyce for Queensberry’s first show with DAZN.

Unfortunately, Whyte withdrew with a finger injury, and Filip Hrgovic stepped in to face Joyce on late notice.

Since then, Whyte-managed-fighter Fabio Wardley has been announced to face Jarrell Miller, and Whyte spoke of his want to face ‘Big Baby’, as well as a few other big names.

“I’m p—– Fabio got it instead of me”… Dillian Whyte on the four fights he wants next, including Jarrell Miller

On the night of Joyce vs Hrgovic, a night which many hope will be the last hurrah for ‘The Juggernaut’ after losing four of his last five fights, Wardley stepped into the ring with Miller to announce their fight at Portman Road, the home ground of Ipswich Town F.C.

Following the announcement, IFL TV had a quick word with both Whyte and Miller, in which Whyte confessed the Miller fight was one of four he really wants:

“I wanted it, I’m p—– Fabio got it instead of me. I wanted it. […] I’d love to fight Jarrell Miller. Win, lose or draw against Fabio I’ll still fight him.”

Whyte continued, naming three other fighters he wishes to face: “I need to fight him [Miller], Andy Ruiz, Deontay Wilder, and Zhang [then] I’ve fought everyone in my era.”

“I’d be one of the only guys that fought everyone in my era” he concluded.

Whyte has faced the likes of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, and Derek Chisora.

Dillian Whyte’s three losses have all come by the same punch

Whyte’s record currently sits at 31-3, with all three losses coming by way of knockout.

The Brit has lost to Fury, Povetkin and Joshua, though avenged his loss to Povetkin with a knockout win of his own.

Each and every stoppage win has come as the result of an uppercut of some kind. His first loss to Joshua saw Whyte endure an onslaught from AJ in their British title clash, but it was a right uppercut that did it, with Whyte crashing to the canvas.

AJ and Whyte had an intense face-off ahead of their clash.

His next loss came in the Matchroom HQ back garden when Whyte faced Povetkin for the WBC interim title, a fight in which Povetkin produced a captivating knockout of the year contender, also with an uppercut, though this time a left hand.

His third and final loss thus far was the very next fight after he avenged the Povetkin loss, when he faced Fury for the full WBC title.

Whyte waited over a year as an interim champ before getting his shot at Fury, but when he did it didn’t last long. Whyte was put down in the sixth round from a right uppercut, dashing his chances of a world title.
