Dillian Whyte was demolished in just 119 seconds in his sink-or-swim fight against Moses Itauma.
Owing to his recent poor performances and stretches of inactivity, Dillian Whyte was written off by many going into his fight with the young buck in Moses Itauma.
What many didn’t expect was just how quickly the 20-year-old star would dispatch ‘The Bodysnatcher’, as he did in 119 seconds what took Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua six and seven rounds respectively.
Whyte’s dramatic weight loss and keenness to put on a show were not enough to trouble the unstoppable force in Itauma. That said, however, the version of Whyte that Itauma obliterated seemed a far cry from the one who faced AJ, and questions remain around just how good Itauma is.
As ‘The Bodysnatcher’ will be forced to consider retirement, one young fighter added insult to injury with a brutal interaction on social media.

Devin Haney mocks Dillian Whyte after ‘The Bodysnatcher’ criticized his last fight
In May this year, Devin Haney fought for the first time since his loss-turned-no-contest against Ryan Garcia, and outpointed Jose Ramirez to get back to winning ways.
His fight was, however, heavily criticized for failing to entertain, as was the main event in which Garcia lost to Rolly Romero.
Whyte took to X on the day to express his distaste at the fight, writing, “This Haney fight is trash I can’t believe I stayed up for this.”
Though his criticism isn’t baseless, it seems karma has come back to bite Whyte, as Haney watched his decimation at the hands of Itauma, who could face Joseph Parker next, and responded to the months-old post with a series of laughing emojis.
Dillian Whyte may have been injured going into Moses Itauma fight
Itauma showed superb speed, shot selection, and power in his step-up fight against Whyte, and all credit must be given to the rising star.
However, it has come out that ‘The Bodysnatcher’ may have gone into the fight with an injury that could have affected his performance.

Sunny Edwards told of Whyte’s injury on Instagram, writing, “Got a call today saying Whyte’s leg is —— and it’s going early. This ring walk ain’t convincing me otherwise.”
Many have suggested Whyte did not look himself as he made his way to the ring, and looked like he didn’t want to be there once he actually got in it.
Even without an injury, it seems Whyte was finished the moment he signed for the fight.
