Derek Chisora hopes to secure a legendary rock band for what could be his last entrance to the ring against Otto Wallin on February 8.
The 40-year-old was supposed to face heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller in the new year, until the Daniel Dubois victim ruled himself out of their contest.
Instead, Chisora will be taking on Wallin at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, in a bid to extend the twilight years of his career.
Should he get past his upcoming assignment, though, the fan-friendly bruiser is likely to continue fighting, already teasing a potential trilogy with domestic rival Dillian Whyte.

Derek Chisora insists that he wants The Eagles to sing him out
Following his punishing tenth-round stoppage defeat to Tyson Fury back in 2022, many expected Chisora to call it quits on his widely celebrated career.
The Brit has, after all, achieved more than what most fighters could only dream of, headlining some of the biggest pay-per-view events in recent years.
More than that, his 13 professional defeats are testament to the fact that, whenever fans think he has nothing left to give, Chisora seemingly just keeps bouncing back.
And so, it is perhaps unsurprising that, following his unanimous decision victory over Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce earlier this year, ‘War’ has chosen to keep rolling the dice.
But still, Chisora nonetheless acknowledges that against Wallin, a seasoned campaigner in his own right, he may be forced to suffer another blemish on his record.
In order to make his next ring walk particularly special, however, the British boxing legend has revealed that he is in talks with The Eagles, hoping that they will perform ‘Hotel California’ live in Manchester
“I’m working on [getting] The Eagles to come and sing me out,” Chisora said at today’s press conference.
“I’ve asked one of my very good friends, and he’s working on it for me now. I hope it comes through.
“It was meant to be a surprise, but you know me and my big mouth. They call me big mouth Derek. Don’t ever tell me a f***ing secret.”
How dangerous will Otto Wallin be after Anthony Joshua defeat?
Wallin is perhaps best known for going the distance with Fury in 2019, back when he caused a nasty cut above the Brit’s right eye.
Since then, he was able to amass six victories before getting brutally halted by Anthony Joshua, suffering the fifth-round stoppage defeat last year.
And while he has bounced back with a first-round knockout over an obscure opponent, it is difficult to say how much the 34-year-old has left in the tank.
