Deontay Wilder has revealed that he sustained an injury which he claims hugely inhibited him during his fights with Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker.
Despite two tough defeats, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is adamant that there are brighter days ahead.

Deontay Wilder says he had a broken arm against Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker
Deontay Wilder was once the most fearsome man in heavyweight boxing, with a punch so ferocious it intimidated even the most ruthless of opponents.
But after his second, and in the eyes of the fans, third, loss to Tyson Fury, the American hasn’t looked the same.
After a blistering return against Robert Helenius, many presumed the legend could recapture his heavyweight throne.
However, despite showing flashes of his best against Joseph Parker, for the bulk of the fight, he was completely outclassed by the New Zealander.

And by the time he set foot in the ring against Zhilei Zhang, he looked a shadow of his former self, losing via a brutal fifth-round KO.
But as it turns out, the Alabama brawler is claiming he was hurt during those ventures to the squared circle.
He told TMZ Sports: “I broke my arm way back in November sometime. I didn’t know. I had two tears on my shoulder. I could feel the pain.
“I just thought it was old injuries. But I got an MRI [recently], and everything was f***ed up there. I didn’t know because I’ve got a high tolerance of pain.”
Deontay Wilder gives an update on his boxing comeback
Despite losing in such devastating fashion to Zhang, Wilder is convinced that his biggest wins are right around the corner.
The 39-year-old enthused: “For me, the best is yet to come. I always say that. We still going, we still here, it’s just getting things together, man. I’m handling a lot of things, I had a lot of outside distractions that I had to get rid of, a lot of burdens upon me.
“I took care of a lot of people, man, and it just became to a point where I just couldn’t do it no more. I got seven kids of my own, I can’t take care of everybody.
“Even the closest ones to me, I been betrayed. I been betrayed for so many people, it’s been a domino effect for the last five years. If anybody know about betrayal, it’s worse than a heartbreak.”
