Daniel Dubois overcame 100-pound size difference to secure KO in final seconds of high-stakes bout

Daniel Dubois will challenge Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed world title fight at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 19th.

Daniel Dubois has received a gift as he now has a second chance to achieve greatness. Though Dubois fell short in his first fight with Oleksandr Usyk in 2023 for the world titles, he now has another chance, this time for the undisputed crown.

Dubois went into the first match after a fight with Kevin Lerena in which Lerena dropped Dubois three times.

Now, going into the rematch, Dubois is coming off a dominant run of form which culminated in a KO over Anthony Joshua, but began last year with a win over a 330-pound ‘Baby’.

Daniel Dubois stopped Jarrell Miller with eight seconds left of the fight

Dubois came off the Usyk loss straight into a big fight as he faced Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller in Riyadh on the undercard of Deontay Wilder vs Joseph Parker / AJ vs Otto Wallin.

Dubois weighed in at 239 pounds, whilst Miller weighed in 94 pounds heavier at 333 pounds. Surprisingly, even this heavy weight is not Miller’s career highest, as he weighed nearly 342 pounds in his fight with Ariel Esteban Bracamonte.

The British heavyweight had a tough task ahead of him, but after 11 hard-fought rounds, pushed his foot on the gas in the 12th, producing a stoppage win over Miller in the final eight seconds of the fight.

Dubois has since gone on to defeat Filip Hrgovic and AJ, whilst Miller has since fought to a draw with Andy Ruiz.
