Dillian Whyte will look to overcome the odds on Saturday night when he steps in the ring with rising prospect Moses Itauma.
Hailed to be the next Mike Tyson, 20-year-old Itauma has been making waves in the heavyweight division. However, Itauma’s fight with Whyte will be a true test of his abilities.
Ahead of the fight, former Tyson Fury opponent Whyte was the victim of a significant blunder from an announcer at the grand arrivals on Tuesday night.
Despite Whyte’s nickname being ‘The Body Snatcher’, MC Thomas Treiber mistakenly announced the fighter as ‘The Baby Snatcher’. However, Whyte was able to speak to the announcer about the error.

Dillian Whyte speaks to announcer on ‘The Baby Snatcher’ mistake
Whyte walked out following the blunder with no public acknowledgment, and the mistake was not mentioned by the broadcast team.
After the grand arrival walkout was finished, Whyte got the chance to confront the announcer about his error.
In footage captured by Seconds Out, Whyte said while conducting an interview, “I want to speak to you. Come speak to me,” to Thomas Treiber.
Whyte began by saying to the announcer, “What was with that, man?” To which Treiber responded, “You know, I made a mistake. The word came out wrong. I wrote it down, and it just came out the wrong way.”
The announcer then apologized for the blooper, “It was an honest mistake.”
Although Whyte was unsatisfied with the moment, he was also seemingly in good humor when speaking with Treiber. Whyte said, “That’s wild”, and was then given more apologies by the announcer.
The MC also confirmed to Whyte that he would be referred to as ‘The Body Snatcher’ for the remainder of fight week.

Dillian Whyte explains how he got given the name ‘The Body Snatcher’
Whyte’s official nickname is ‘The Body Snatcher’, but the English heavyweight did not give himself the name. In a 2020 interview with BBC Sport, Whyte explained the origins of the title.
“The fans, they actually gave me the name ‘The Body Snatcher’. My name was different before,” the fighter revealed.
“Oh, this is cool. I like it,” Whyte added.
“It makes sense because I’m an aggressive body puncher.”
