Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn will finally get to settle their rivalry in the ring when the pair meet later this year.
Turki Alalshikh confirmed that Eubank Jr. and Benn would fight in April, with the grudge match set to take place in London.
Both Eubank Jr. and Benn were originally meant to fight in 2022. However, following failed drug tests from Benn, the matchup was canceled.
Benn will be making his return to the ring after last competing in February 2024. Meanwhile, Eubank Jr. claimed the IBO World Middleweight title in October the last time he fought.
Usually competing at welterweight, Benn will move up two weight divisions to face Eubank Jr. at middleweight.
However, Benn feels that he is not at a disadvantage in the fight. As well as this, despite being the larger fighter, one boxing legend feels Eubank Jr. will not be successful.

Barry McGuigan favors Conor Benn in grudge match with Chris Eubank Jr.
Promoter and former professional boxer Barry McGuigan has given his thoughts on the match between Benn and Eubank taking place in April.
In an interview with Seconds Out, McGuigan was asked about what he thought about the rehydration limit of 170 lbs for the middleweight bout. The Irishman explained he could see why it made sense from the point of Benn, especially given that he was making the move up two weight classes.
In terms of how he thought the bout would go, McGuigan said, “It’s a great fight. I favor Benn at this stage.”
Despite giving praise to Eubank Jr., the promoter feels that is on a “slide” in his career.
“Eubank is a great fighter but I think he’s just gone over the top, he’s beginning to slide. His punch resistance is questionable at 160 lbs. He’s tough, he’s like his dad, he’s a very skillful kid.”
Roy Jones Jr. gives prediction for Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn
Former four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr. has shared his thoughts on the all-British grudge match taking place in April.
Jones Jr., who previously trained Eubank Jr., believes that his former student has the advantage in the fight.
In an interview with TalkSport, Jones Jr. said, “I think Chris is bigger, and has the advantages because he’s bigger, but it’s going to be a great fight.”
The legend would also add that he believes Benn’s best opportunity at victory is to attempt to land a big punch on the middleweight champion.
Jones Jr. also disregarded that the rehydration clause would not be a restricting element for Eubank Jr., believing that it would not cause any bother to the champion.
