Having achieved so much in boxing, the Brit just needs to complete the final piece of the puzzle to solidify his status as an all-time British great.

Chris Eubank Jr in negotiations to fight Erislandy Lara
Chris Eubank Jr is reportedly in talks for a massive world title showdown with Erislandy Lara, with the bout likely to be promoted by BOXXER in the UK.
Rick Glaser tweeted: “Breaking news, #WBA Middleweight Champ #ErislandyLara looks like he’ll be traveling to the #UK this spring to defend his title vs #ChrisEubankJr, it’ll be promoted by @Boxxer, & on #SkyTV in the UK. #Lara will be 42 in April. More details forthcoming.”
Despite having held the IBO belt, Eubank Jr is yet to win a legitimate world championship. And with his potential opponent now 41 years of age, this could be the perfect opportunity.
That’s not to say that the Cuban doesn’t have anything left in the tank, as he just succesfully defended his belt against Danny Garcia, and has a slick style, which traditionally, has been tough for the Englishman to deal with.
If the fight comes to fruition, it would push a yet to be signed clash between Eubank Jr and Conor Benn back into the second half of the year.
But by the sounds of things, ‘The Destroyer’ could have a world title fight of his own to prepare for.
