Chris Eubank Jr will face unproven super middleweight campaigner Kamil Szeremeta on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol’s undisputed light heavyweight showdown.
The contest – appearing on a mouth-watering Riyadh Season card on October 12 – signifies Eubank Jr’s first outing since his tenth-round stoppage victory over Liam Smith.
And while the 35-year-old was able to exact revenge on his domestic rival, after getting stopped himself in their first encounter, he has seemingly been unable to build on that performance.
As it happens, the son of legendary boxer Chris Eubank has now been inactive for over a year, looking to get his career back on track.

Chris Eubank Jr reveals footage of his training with Jonathan Banks
At the press conference for Beterbiev vs Bivol, Eubank Jr stole the show by branding promoters Frank Warren, Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland as ‘scumbags.’
His unexpected outburst was fiercely condemned by Warren who, after threatening legal action, accepted a formal apology that the former world title challenger issued following his unsavory comments.
Nevertheless, Eubank Jr succeeded in reminding fans of his polarizing showmanship, receiving backlash from the likes of middleweight contender Hamzah Sheeraz.
Away from his media stunt, though, the Briton has made a major change to his training setup which, in his view, will allow him to join the world scene at 168 lbs.
And so, by calling upon the services of esteemed trainer Jonathan Banks, who has previously worked with accomplished fighters such as Gennady Golovkin, Eubank Jr believes that his preparation will, in turn, go from strength to strength.
But while Banks undoubtedly has a decorated resume, it was nonetheless surprising when Eubank Jr announced that he was parting ways with Brian ‘Bomac’ McIntyre, the head coach of pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford.
Regardless, the Brit has now released some footage of him on the pads with Banks, desperately trying to remain focused while a toddler attempts to distract him.
Chris Eubank Jr must defeat Canelo Alvarez to reign supreme at 168 lbs
Parading the super middleweight division is unified world champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, who comes off a comprehensive victory over Edgar Berlanga.
The Mexican star has established himself as the number one operator in his weight class, with seemingly every contender wishing to topple him.
With that being said, there are still several potential opponents in the Ring Magazine’s rankings who could all make for intriguing matchups against Eubank Jr.
- Canelo Alvarez
- Jaime Munguia
- Christian Mbilli
- Osleys Iglesias
- Diego Pacheco
A win over unbeaten Frenchman Christian Mbilli, for instance, could catapult him into the conversation for a blockbuster clash with Canelo.
