Chris Eubank Jr has received a massive ‘promise’ that he’ll get to fight Canelo Alvarez on one condition

Chris Eubank Jr could be on the cusp of a super fight with Canelo Alvarez.

While the Brit would undoubtedly go into the contest as a major underdog, there’s no denying that the match-up would gain massive attention from the fans.

During his career, the future Hall of Famer has dominated every Brit who’s dared take him on. Notably, Canelo destroyed Amir Khan with a thunderous right hand.

However, Eubank Jr believes he’s capable of avenging all of his countrymen who have fallen short against the legendary boxer.

Chris Eubank Jr needs to beat Conor Benn again to fight Canelo Alvarez

Chris Eubank Jr has apparently received a promise from Turki Al-Sheikh that a showdown with Canelo Alvarez is just around the corner.

But in order to earn it, he’ll first have to do the double over Conor Benn.

When asked whether a fight with the Mexican is realistic, Eubank Jr’s manager, Elliott Amoakoh, told talkSPORT’s Fight Night Daily Podcast: “100%

“Hopefully, Canelo gets through Terence Crawford, we get through Conor Benn, and then they’ll do it next. So, that’s the negotiations that’s going on right now.

“Turki Al-Sheikh promised it to us.”

While many would expect Canelo to comfortably defeat Eubank Jr, it isn’t a complete foregone conclusion.

After all, the Guadalajara athlete isn’t invincible.
