Carl Froch makes huge Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury prediction, this will divide opinion

Carl Froch has made a bold prediction about a potential fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

The two heavyweights have been on a collision course to face each other since Anthony Joshua turned professional in 2013.

The pair looked set to face each other back in 2021 but Deontay Wilder scuppered their plans and forced his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury.

The fight looked dead after Joshua’s defeats to Oleksandr Usyk but after huge wins over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou, the fight is wanted again.

Now with Fury facing Usyk in a rematch and Joshua likely to face Daniel Dubois, a win for both could set up a monster clash.

Carl Froch makes bold prediction for potential Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight

Former world champion and Sky Sports pundit Carl Froch has made a big prediction about a potential fight between the two.

A video of a very drunk Fury being escorted out of a pub before falling over outside went viral last week and raised questions about his condition.

Froch believes that the momentum is with Joshua after his devastating knockout over Ngannou and predicts a win for the former Olympic champion.

“I’ve always thought that Tyson Fury beats Anthony Joshua,” said Froch speaking on Froch on Fighting.

“Both lost to Usyk, at the minute now if I’m looking at Anthony Joshua, he’s coming off the back of three or four wins.

“But the fact that he’s got momentum, he’s getting his confidence back.” He continued on: “He’s an athlete, he’s in the gym all the time. Boxing is all about timing.

“Tyson Fury was on the p*** last week wasn’t he? I just think timing-wise, Anthony Joshua will probably knockout Tyson Fury.”

Froch might be right about Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Fury may only be a year older than Joshua but they have looked after their bodies very differently.

The Olympic gold medalist is a constant professional and is never seen in anything less than top shape, even when out of training camp.

While ‘The Gypsy King’ has regularly been seen in the pub and at one point weighed over 30 stone when suffering with his mental health.

The years of ballooning up and down in weight may have finally caught up with Fury as in defeat to Usyk it looked like he was slowing down.

As Froch said ‘Boxing is all about timing’ and Joshua might be facing the legendary fighter at the perfect time.
