Canelo Alvarez will have one of the toughest tests of his career on September 13th, when he welcomes a challenge from Terence Crawford.
Meeting in Las Vegas, the pound-for-pound stars will have it all to lose in the undisputed super middleweight title fight.
Although many feel Alvarez’s size will be too much for ‘Bud’, others feel Crawford’s technical ability can help him get the better of the Mexican.

Super middleweight contender Hamzah Sheeraz is easily considered to be one of the top talents at 168 lbs since moving to the weight class.
A brutal win over former Alvarez opponent Edgar Berlanga improved the Englishman’s record to 22-0-1, as he won the bout via knockout.
In a recent interview with Pro Boxing Fans, Sheeraz gave his take on how the undisputed world title fight of his division will play out.
Sheeraz said, “I expect the fight to be very competitive for the first six rounds.” However, the fighter with 18 knockouts said that he expects Alvarez to pull away in the later stages of the fight.
“Canelo to take over and dominate [in the second half of the fight].”
Sheeraz feels that following the conclusion of Alvarez vs Crawford that he will be next in line for the title.
“I feel like I’ve done what’s required of me to earn that fight. Some people might disagree, but I believe I’ve done enough.”
Hamzah Sheeraz is currently ranked in the top five of all four major boxing organizations
If Alvarez and Crawford do not compete in a rematch following their September bout, few fighters will have a better claim to the title than Sheeraz.
In all of the four major boxing organizations, the British fighter is ranked within the top five.
The WBC have the 26-year-old as their number one contender in the super middleweight division.
Sheeraz falls just short of Crawford in the WBO rankings for the weight class, placing second.
In the WBA rankings, Sheeraz has the number four ranking, while the IBF have him one place lower at number five.
