Canelo Alvarez will take on Terence Crawford in a mega-fight between two pound-for-pound kings in a matter of weeks.
Netflix is making some huge plays in the boxing world, hosting Jake Paul‘s upcoming fight against Gervonta Davis, as well as Canelo Alvarez‘s undisputed super-middleweight defence against Terence Crawford on September 13th.
Las Vegas will play host to the blockbuster bout, which will see Bud move up two weight classes to face the Mexican face of boxing.
While many believe Canelo is a step too far for Crawford in terms of his size, there is one former world champion who has disregarded the size difference completely.

David Haye sees Crawford vs Canelo as an even match-up… ‘They’re the same size’
In an interview with Pro Boxing Fans, former cruiser and heavyweight world champion David Haye spoke on the fight between the two, and, most notably, the size difference.
“I initially automatically assumed because Canelo’s beaten… he was the light heavyweight champion of the world, undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world, he’s just campaigned at a much bigger weight so a good big one beats a good little one, usually.”
Roy Jones Jr. ignored that rule to suggest Crawford may beat Canelo, and it seems Haye is on his way to following suit,
“I saw them standing next to each other, and they looked the same size. I couldn’t quite figure it out.”
“I favored Canelo starting off but over time I’m starting to think, once again, Crawford is one them guys, he reminds me of Andre Ward a bit, he wouldn’t put himself in that position if he didn’t know for sure he had enough firepower to deal with someone of Canelo’s stature.”
Haye didn’t give an exact prediction, though it seems he is not so confident Canelo will win now that he’s seen the men side by side.
Terence Crawford’s sparring partner is in a huge step-up on Canelo undercard
In the co-main event to Crawford vs Canelo, Lester Martinez will face Christian Mbilli.
Mbilli is 29-0 with 24 KOs, the latest of which came in one round against 33-3 Maciej Sulecki.

Crawford’s longtime sparring partner Martinez, meanwhile, is 19-0, with 16 of his wins coming by stoppage.
The winner could well land a shot at Canelo, provided the Mexican beats Bud, but either way, with two knockout artists going head to head, there will surely be fireworks.
