Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua top 16-man list of fighters officially in  ‘advanced negotiations’ with Turki Alalshikh

Turki Alalshikh has made some of the biggest fights in recent years and is seemingly looking to make more history.

Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua are just two of the huge names included in a list of fighters in talks with Alalshikh for their next fight.

The Saudi Arabian advisor continues to have a significant amount of influence on the boxing world, with some blockbuster fights potentially happening in 2025.

If Alalshikh makes even some of the fights that fans want to see, it could be one of the biggest years in boxing history.

Ring Magazine has revealed a list of fighters who are currently in “advanced negotiations to finalize deals for upcoming fights” with Alalshikh.

The tweet from Ring Magazine also says that the fighters will compete on “the world’s first Ring Magazine cards in 2025.”

Many of the names included in the list could be involved in blockbuster boxing matches this year.

Although Joshua was rumored to fight Tyson Fury, the ‘Gypsy King’s’ retirement could pose some problems there. However, Martin Bakole is also included on the list. Bakole called out Joshua recently, meaning the two could be in line for a matchup.

Alvarez and Terence Crawford have also been heavily speculated to face one another. Crawford excited fans with a tweet after he met Alalshikh in London, meaning an announcement could come sooner rather than later.

Both Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia have expressed their interest in a rematch, and are included in Ring Magazine’s list. However, Haney has revealed the complications surrounding a Garcia rematch, so it is unclear as to when the two will be able to fight.

Some names on Ring Magazine’s list are currently already scheduled to take part in a fight. This means that Alalshikh has likely held negotiations with the fighters regarding their next opponent after their scheduled bout.

Shortly after the list was posted, Alalshikh confirmed Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr., meaning this is likely the fight that both fighters were in negotiations for.

Naoya Inoue is scheduled to fight on January 24th against Ye Joon Kim. However, his negotiations may look towards a bigger fight for ‘The Monster’ later this year.

Shakur Stevenson is set to feature on the February 22nd card in Saudi Arabia when he faces Floyd Schofield Jr. However, he was expressing interest in bouts with Gervonta Davis and Vasiliy Lomachenko on the Ariel Helwani show.

Super lightweight contenders Isaac Cruz and Adam Azim are also scheduled to fight on the 1st of February. Cruz will face Angel Fierro in Las Vegas while Azim takes on Sergey Lipinets in London.
