Even now, despite having two hip replacements, the warrior’s fire to compete still burns bright.
On November 15, 2024, inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA, Jake Paul defeated Tyson via unanimous decision in one of the biggest boxing matches of the year.
Shortly before the contest, Butterbean bumped into the former heavyweight King, who was shocked by the condition he was in.
Then, following the bout, the retired sportsman challenged the social media star, who gave an interesting reason as to why that match-up wouldn’t make sense.
“In an interview with Undisputed, Butterbean claimed: “I’d fight Mike Tyson, and I’d love to fight Jake Paul. I was with Mike two weeks before the Jake Paul fight. He couldn’t believe I got in such good shape.
“Jake Paul, we spoke after the Tyson fight. I said, ‘When are you going to fight me?’ He said, ‘I can’t–you’re a legend.’ I can’t figure that one out.”
Bearing in mind the 28-year-old just fought Tyson, saying he can’t take on Butterbean because of his past achievements, seems somewhat strange.
Regardless, the returning competitor would likely be better suited channeling his callouts elsewhere.
Butterbean challenges a UFC legend to a boxing match
While Butterbean would love to get his hands on Tyson and Paul, they aren’t his only targets.
The American is also extremely interested in going to war with a gifted mixed martial artist.
While significantly older than his target, he’d undoubtedly possess the superior skills inside the squared circle.
With that in mind, Butterbean has challenged a former UFC champion to a fight.
