Turki Alalshikh has had a significant influence over the world over boxing in recent years and will continue to do so in 2025.
The Saudi Arabian advisor was a notable figure in the world of boxing in the 2020s and responsible for huge modern clashes.
Looking to build on the work he has already done in the sport, Alalshikh has been eager to get the ball rolling in 2025. With one of the biggest cards in boxing history set to take place on February 22nd, fight fans will have plenty to enjoy throughout the course of the year.
Alalshikh has confirmed Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr. for 2025, as well as aiming to get more fights confirmed for the year.
As well as Alalshikh stating he is in negotiations with 16 fighters who are at the top of the sport, the Saudi Arabian further excited fans with a recent social media post.
Turki Alalshikh promises crazy year in social media post
Posting to his social media accounts, Alalshikh shared a photo with himself, Dana White, Nick Khan, Zack Snyder, and Rodrigo Lorenzo.
Alalshikh’s post says, “With my dear friends: Dana White, Nick Khan, Zack Snyder and Rodrigo Lorenzo… If there is one thing that I am sure of: is that 2025 will be a crazy year and I mean it… stay tuned for 4 – 5 big surprises that are massive, different, and groundbreaking …and of course one of them is the reason why Zach Snyder is in the picture not as a fighter. We will announce soon.”
White has previously worked with Alalshikh as the Saudi Arabian advisor was a key figure in the UFC hosting an event in The Sphere in Las Vegas in 2024. There are currently no discussions as to what Alalshikh’s and White’s next collaboration may entail.
Alalshikh has also collaborated with Khan, as the WWE will host their 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia next January.
Film director Snyder has no clear affiliation with the world of combat sports. However, Alalshikh has met with Synder on multiple occasions and has shared an interest in making a UFC movie.
Speaking on an ESPN broadcast in 2024, Alalshikh said “We want to talk about doing a big movie about the UFC.” He also added that Snyder liked the idea of the project.
Dana White has expressed interest in boxing venture
UFC president White has previously stated his interest in becoming a more prominent boxing figure, with his relationship with Alalshikh potentially playing a role.
In September of 2024, White hosted an event in Dublin, Ireland as boxer Callum Walsh fought at the 3 Arena. When asked about a potential venture into the sport at the time, White said, “We’ve been kicking the whole boxing thing around for a long time, but you’ve never heard me commit and say ‘I’m in’. Well, I’m in.”
Although there have been no substantial developments in White’s boxing ambitions since, Walsh will return to action on March 16th at Madison Square Garden, meaning more details may be revealed.
It is also unclear as to whether White’s recent meeting with Alalshikh was UFC-related or if the two discussed potential boxing ventures.
