Floyd Mayweather has been accused of ducking by a former world champion, who claims he signed on the dotted line to face ‘Money’ in the ring.
The legend in question says that the richest athlete of all time chose to take on an opponent he had actually already defeated himself.

Amir Khan says he signed to fight Floyd Mayweather
In his esteemed career, Floyd Mayweather went head-to-head with a plethora of boxing greats, sharing the ring with the likes of Oscar De la Hoya and Manny Pacquiao.
However, there are still fighters who would’ve loved to have gotten their hands on the defensive genius, including Amir Khan.
For years, the pair talked up a potential match-up, with the Brit adamant that because of his speed, he would’ve been the American’s kryptonite.
Alas, they never went toe-to-toe, with both men retiring from the sport, without a solid answer on what would’ve happened had they traded blows.
However, Khan has now claimed that the pair were on the cusp of giving the public the superfight until his rival decided to go in another direction.
The two-time world champion told World Boxing News: “It was the [Floyd] Mayweather fight, which I signed a contract for, and he didn’t sign his side of the contract and pulled out. He fought [Marcos] Maidana instead, a guy who I beat.”
Floyd Mayweather spends $20million on three-year-old grandson’s Christmas present
While many a year has passed since Khan missed out on the biggest payday of his life, it’s unlikely that Mayweather still thinks about it.
After all, having retired with multi-millions in the bank, he’s now got other things on his mind—like spoiling his family.
During the festive period, the 47-year-old gave his grandson an absolutely outrageous Christmas present.
