Ahead of his Oasis reunion, Liam Gallagher will stage a live concert at Wembley Stadium on the highly anticipated Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois show.
Gallagher’s appearance is set to take place shortly before the two Brits collide for Daniel Dubois’ newly acquired IBF world heavyweight title on September 21.
The event – largely spearheaded by boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh – will be the first Riyadh Season card to take place in the UK.
But aside from the action inside the ring, many fans are looking forward to the live music, hoping that it will add an extra layer of magic to the stacked card.
The announcement of Gallagher’s performance has also been met with backlash, though, with a selection of supporters claiming that they would prefer to watch an uninterrupted night of boxing.

Fans reacting to Turki Alalshikh’s post on X
Alalshikh, who is the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, invited hip-hop star Eminem to perform at the Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov spectacle last month.
However, it appears that not all fans have welcomed this change in boxing, as many have expressed their dissatisfaction with the amount of time these performances add to each show.
In response to Alalshikh’s post on X, one fan said: “I am a big fan of Eminem & Oasis but the shows drag on too long. The pacing is bad. The concerts make it worse.”
Another added: “Just get the fights on at a reasonable time Turki.”
And yet, in addition to these comments, some have hailed the introduction of live music at boxing shows.
Another fan said: “Exciting lineup! Can’t wait to see Liam Gallagher and the boxing match. Definitely booking my ticket!”
Will Oasis perform at the Anthony Joshua fight?
Fans are likely to forgive the time extension on the Anthony Joshua vs Dubois bill if they are treated to an early Oasis gig.
Noel and Liam Gallagher stole the headlines after announcing that they will reunite for a tour next year, with fans desperately trying to get their hands on tickets last week.
But their first performance together in more than a decade could arrive before 2025, as Alalshikh teased the possibility of the brothers getting back together for his event in an interview with talkSPORT.
Without any confirmation from the Gallaghers, though, delivering an Oasis gig on the undercard of Joshua and Dubois is perhaps even beyond the power of Alalshikh.
