Boxing fans were left stunned by the scorecards as Artur Beterbiev became the undisputed champion of the light heavyweight champion.
Beterbiev went up against Dmitry Bivol with both fighters putting their belts and unbeaten records on the line and the two delivered an incredible contest in Saudi Arabia.
Many had struggled to predict the fight, however, one simulation had Bivol down to win with a fourth-round knockout.
While that didn’t happen, 12 rounds between two of the best pound-for-pound ultimately ended up with Beterbiev becoming the undisputed champion.

As the story of the fight proved, the judges’ were left with a difficult decision to make as to who they determined the winner.
Ultimately, the contest was awarded as a majority decision win for Beterbiev, with two scoring it 115-113, 116-112 in his favor, while the third judge saw it as a 114-114 draw.
Matchroom Boxing then posted a picture of the official scorecards, which left fans perplexed and demanding a rematch.
“That 116-112 Beterbiev judge needs to find a new sport,” wrote one fan.
“Both did great but I think Bivol found more good spots. I don’t agree but I can see how it could go either way. Rematch???” asked a second.
A third person added: “Regardless of who you think won, we definitely need a rematch.”
This user added: “Definitely a rematch needed for this one. No one agrees on who won.”
Eddie Hearn loses it after ‘disgusting’ Bivol decision
It’s fair to say that boxing fans around the world were torn on who won the fight.
The three judging the fight concluded that Beterbiev was the outright winner however Bivol’s promoter Eddie Hearn was left incensed by the controversial call.
Speaking to DAZN, he said: “How can we not talk about what just happened in the ring?
“In one of the biggest fights of our generation, the most important fight of Dmitry Bivol’s life, you give him four rounds in that fight? It’s absolutely disgusting.
“You heard the [Beterbiev’s] corner say to him in the 10th round: ‘You have to knock him out to win this fight’.
“They knew Artur Beterbiev had lost this fight and then the word got around that he had won a majority decision. I’m absolutely baffled and disgusted.”
