Tommy Fury and Jake Paul’s rivalry is seemingly not done as the two fought to a close split decision in 2023.
A knockdown from Paul in the final round of their fight in Saudi Arabia would not be enough to hand Fury his first loss. The tight affair between the rivals would see ‘TNT’ maintain his unbeaten record, while Paul fell to his first loss.
Since their meeting, the rematch has been mentioned on multiple occasions. This included Paul explaining why he lost the fight, as well as John Fury sending a warning to ‘The Problem Child’.
However, in a recent interview, Fury has provided a big update in a potential rematch.

Tommy Fury predicts he will rematch Jake Paul in the next 12 months
Speaking to Eddie Hall in the first episode of his new podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Beast, Fury was asked about what his next steps are in boxing.
Fury began by saying that ‘big fights are looming’ before being specifically asked what name he had in mind for his next fight. “I think the Jake Paul fight. You know, that’s always going to be there because there’s a lot of history in that fight.”
Hall then added, “I think the rematch makes sense,” to which Fury responded, “It does.”
Fury then says that despite recent setbacks due to injury, he ‘100%’ believes that he can beat Paul in the rematch. “There’s not a doubt in my mind where I get into a room with Jake Paul and I think he beats me.”
Speaking on their previous meeting, Fury explained that he wasn’t ‘60% of what he is capable of’ when they fought in their headline clash.
In terms of when the pair might fight, the brother of Tyson Fury said, “I think that fight happens in the next 12 months. I’ll be ready for that fight.” Fury then confirmed that making the fight had been talked about.
Tommy Fury on what it would take for him to fight Mike Tyson
Paul’s last opponent was Mike Tyson when the pair met in November 2024. When asked if he would take a fight with the former heavyweight champion in the current day, Fury explained to Hall he would under certain circumstances.
“Listen, if someone’s offering you £50 million, what are you going to do? Everyone back home can say what they want in the comments, right, if someone’s coming at you with £50 million, you are going to fight a 60-year-old man.”
Paul defeated Tyson when the pair met in 2024 via unanimous decision, as ‘The Problem Child’ was 27 years old and ‘Iron Mike’ was 58 years old.
