Anthony Joshua is looking to return to winning ways with a fight at the end of the year, though one Hall of Famer believes an unlikely candidate could retire him for good.
Anthony Joshua took his latest, and most devastating loss, to Daniel Dubois last year in front of over 60,000 fans in Wembley.
Dubois is now gearing up for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, and a chance for the undisputed championship, while Joshua prepares to embark on the comeback trail once again.
One former world champion and Hall of Famer, though, believes Joshua could be the best option for one big puncher who scored a lucky win last weekend.

Carl Froch believes Fabio Wardley could stop Anthony Joshua
On his YouTube channel, Carl Froch spoke on Fabio Wardley’s recent win over Justis Huni, and on who could be next for the Ipswich fighter.
He said: “He’s now mandatory for the winner of Usyk Dubois. […] F—— hell, do me a favor. I mean, I don’t need to, I don’t want to now tear him a new a–, you know what I mean? I need to give Fabio Wardley credit for what he’s done but I need to be realistic.”
“Oleksandr Usyk would run rings around Fabio Wardley. It’s a mismatch.”
Regarding a fight with Dubois, Froch said: “He’d be out cold, absolutely flattened, ironed out, el sparko.”
Froch thought Joseph Parker, Agit Kabayel, and Moses Itauma, who is facing Dillian Whyte next, would all be too much for Wardley and said the best option could be Joshua.
Froch said: “Anthony Joshua would be terrified of Fabio Wardley’s power […] If Fabio went for it and landed that big punch, who knows?”
Fabio Wardley’s trainer has another opponent in mind
In an interview with TalkSport, Wardley’s trainer, Ben Davison said:
“I’m hearing Pulev and Michael Hunter might be getting a fight on, maybe the winner of that, or we don’t know how these belts might fragment.”
Hunter is 24-1-2, his only loss being to Usyk, while Pulev is 32-3, having lost to AJ, Wladimir Klitschko, and Derek Chisora.
Wardley could face Hunter or Pulev next, but Wardley has also called out Chisora for his 50th and final fight.
