Anthony Joshua predicts between old foes in Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker
Looking to the co-main event of the card in Saudi Arabia, Joshua picked between two former opponents in Dubois and Parker.
In 2018, Joshua was able to hand New Zealander Parker his first professional loss. A unanimous decision win over Parker would mean ‘AJ’ took his opponent’s WBO World Heavyweight title, as well as snapping his winning streak of 24 fights.
Although Parker named a different fight as the one that changed his life, the New Zealander made some changes in his approach to boxing which has led him to his second world title opportunity.
Joshua’s last fight was against Dubois, where he was knocked down four times, getting stopped in round five.
When predicting the fight, Joshua sided with the man who could not get the better of him, picking Parker according to a social media post from Turki Alalshikh.
In terms of other fighters who have predicted the fight, Carl Froch picked Dubois to win, as well as Derek Chisora also backing his fellow countryman.
Anthony Joshua picks against former sparring partner in Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel
In the other heavyweight bout at ‘The Last Crescendo’, Joshua has given his nod to the more experienced fighter.
Joshua faced Zhang in the London 2012 Olympics, with the British fighter emerging the victor via points.
As for Kabayel, Joshua has shared the ring with the German in training, having sparred the undefeated fighter.
However, Joshua has sided with Zhang for the fight, picking him to be the man to disrupt Kabayel’s perfect 25-0 record.
It has also been confirmed that Joshua will be in attendance for the event in Saudi Arabia, with a potential rematch between the winner of Dubois and Parker in his sights.
However, Eddie Hearn is still keen on Tyson Fury as Joshua’s next opponent.
