Heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua is ready to move on from the Tyson Fury fight for three names.
Anthony Joshua hasn’t fought since a stunning knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September. After rematch talks surfaced immediately after the fight, Joshua didn’t make the quick turnaround to the ring, and Dubois will face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch later this year.
Following the brief Dubois rematch talks, Joshua and his team pitched a possible all-UK showdown with Tyson Fury, who announced a retirement following a second consecutive defeat to Usyk. While Fury hung up the gloves, many have speculated he could return to the ring for a lucrative showdown with Joshua soon.
But if Fury doesn’t follow through and come back to boxing, Joshua has three names on his radar for his next fight as he looks to get back into the undisputed title mix.

Anthony Joshua includes Tyson Fury’s three-time rival on boxing hitlist
During a recent interview with talkSPORT, Joshua names three potential opponents for his next fight amidst his ongoing wait for the possible Fury bout.
“I think a potential fight with Martin Bakole, Agit Kabayel or Deontay Wilder would work too,” Joshua said.
Joshua was then asked about a possible clash with the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois rematch winner.
“To be completely honest with you, Joseph Parker deserves a shot at the winner [of Usyk vs Dubois 2] more than me right now.”
Parker was supposed to face Dubois earlier this year before the latter withdrew from the event on hours notice. Parker went on to defeat Martin Bakole by second-round TKO.
Deontay Wilder will return to the ring against Tyrrell Anthony Herndon on June 27th as he looks to snap a recent losing skid inside the ring. Wilder’s last victory came against Robert Helenius in 2022.
Anthony Joshua hasn’t held a heavyweight title since 2020
Joshua is looking to regain the form that made him one of the most destructive boxers on the planet in his championship prime. After exciting title wins over Andy Ruiz Jr. and Kubrat Pulev, Joshua dropped two fights to Usyk and hasn’t held a belt since.
Joshua’s likely return to the ring later this year comes at an intriguing time in the heavyweight division. Prospects such as Moses Itauma are quickly moving up the ranks and moving closer to title shots, and Joshua could potentially get right back into the mix with a signature performance in his next fight.
As Fury continues to be on the sidelines, Joshua is temporarily moving on from the dream UK matchup for other ventures. A fight announcement for Joshua could come in the following weeks after some of the top-tier heavyweight bouts play out.
