Derek Chisora rolled back the years on Saturday night as he had a dominant win over Otto Wallin in Manchester.
Getting a victory in ‘The Last Dance’, fans were critical of Wallin’s performance, but Chisora was also subject to great credit.
Despite being a sizeable underdog going into the bout, the Englishman was much the better fighter over the course of the 12 rounds, which even led to Chisora getting praise from Conor McGregor.
In what was labeled as the last UK-based fight of his career, Chisora was victorious in the IBF title eliminator bout, potentially setting up a fight with the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker.
However, despite the night going in favor of Chisora, he was dissatisfied with one element of the fight.

Derek Chisora blasts referee following Otto Wallin victory
Chisora would have to overcome some adversity in his victory over the Swedish heavyweight. In round five, Chisora suffered a significant cut over his eye, resulting in a notable flow of blood down his face.
Despite the referee intervening at one stage to see if Chisora should continue, ‘Del Boy’ went on to perform impressively in the bout.
However, in an interview with Seconds Out, Chisora revealed that he was not impressed with the referee’s performance.
“S— ref. Don’t want to ever use that ref ever again,” Chisora said.
When explaining why he was so dissatisfied with the officiating, Chisora explained that he was getting warnings for punches to the back of the head, which he didn’t agree with.
“He’s telling me I’m hitting him in the back [of the head]. But really, I’m hitting him here [on the side].”
Even though the veteran was ‘annoyed’ by the comments from the referee, Chisora said, “I didn’t let that bother me, I carried on, did my thing.”

Derek Chisora’s eye cut not the only adversity he had to overcome in fight
Although a major talking point of the fight was the cut above the eye of Chisora, he revealed to Seconds Out that he had another problem in the bout.
“In the second round, my ears popped.”
Chisora would say that it wasn’t the result of a punch from Wallin, but it did cause him significant discomfort.
“I was not walking the right way,” Chisora added. He would also state that he did not tell his team about the injury between rounds, keeping the information to himself.
