Adrien Broner’s trash talk got him into many rivalries, but there was one that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
Adrien Broner’s showboating and loudmouthed arrogance were all part of his charm and character, but were also tools for building some intense rivalries.
From his antics in the Marcos Maidana fight, which came back to bite him when he took his first loss, to when Broner, who made Gervonta Davis cry, bragged about stealing the girlfriend of an opponent after sharing the ring with him.

Paulie Malignaggi signs multi-fight bare-knuckle boxing deal
In 2013, Broner took Paulie Malignaggi’s WBA welterweight title via split decision. Broner claimed he took Malignaggi’s girl, too, in a viral moment that will be remembered for years to come.
Malignaggi fought seven times since the loss, facing the likes of Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia.
He retired from boxing in 2017 after being knocked out in eight rounds by British fighter Sam Eggington, who now holds a record of 36-9.
Malignaggi has graced a ring just once in almost ten years now, when he lost his first bare-knuckle fight against Artem Lobov, but has surprised fans with a multi-fight signing not for boxing, but for bare-knuckle boxing.
It is unclear who Malignaggi’s opponent will be or when, but the former boxing champion will fight again.
Paulie Malignaggi was stopped in 11 rounds by two British legends
In 2008, Malignaggi faced 44-1 legend Ricky Hatton for the IBO super-lightweight title.
Years later, in 2010, he faced Amir Khan. In both fights, Malignaggi was outclassed – in his fight with Khan, he didn’t win a single round, and in his bout with Hatton, he won just one going into the 11th round.
Malignaggi never saw the 12th round in either fight.
