Hamzah Sheeraz vs Tyler Denny
Sheeraz took on Tyler Denny in Wembley Stadium on the 21st of September, 2024. The fight took place on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois.
In what was a dominant performance from Sheeraz, he made quick work of the 19-2-3 Denny.
In the opening 10 seconds of the bout, a left hook from Sheeraz would lead to a knockdown. Then, the same punch in round two would put Denny down again, spelling the end of the fight.
The win would mean that Sheeraz would add Denny’s EBU European Middleweight belt to his Commonwealth Boxing Council Middleweight title and WBC Silver Middleweight title.
Hamzah Sheeraz vs Austin Williams
Facing Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams at the Queensberry vs Matchroom 5v5, Sheeraz was faced with perhaps the toughest challenge of his career in June 2024.
A stinging left hand from Williams early in the second round would stun Sheeraz. However, the British fighter would survive the round.
Despite the early adversity, Sheeraz was able to put Williams down in round nine, with a right hook. Then, early in round 11, multiple clean shots of the chin of Williams would not put the fighter down, but the referee called off the fight.
The win would extend Sheeraz’s record to 20-0.
Hamzah Sheeraz vs Liam Williams
In February of 2024, Sheeraz took on fellow UK fighter Liam Williams in London. His opponent would come into the fight with a 25-4-1 record, however, Sheeraz would end the night quickly.
A jab in the opening minute would put Williams down, for the first time. Then, a counter uppercut would see Williams hit the canvas for a second time in the first round.
In the final 30 seconds of the round, Williams’ corner felt as if they had seen enough and threw in the towel.
