The heavyweight was born in Leverkusen, Germany. Kabayel’s parents are Turkish and are of Kurdish descent.

In his last bout, Kabayel took on 24-0 Frank Sanchez in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Their fight took place on May 18th, 2024, and was a bout on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk.

Although Sanchez would throw heavy punches, Kabayel was getting the better of the exchanges, landing huge combinations to the body.

In round seven, a body shot from Kabayel would hurt Sanchez, leading to a knockdown. Despite getting up from the blow, the damage accumulated to the body was too much for Sanchez, who went down a second time after another punch to the stomach.

In December of 2023, Kabayel faced Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov in an event that also featured Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder vs Joseph Parker.

Both men would go into the bout undefeated, however, Makhmudov’s record would be reduced to 18-1 after the fight.

Leading the dance from the start, Kabayel’s damage began to quickly add up against Makhmudov. After being down for the third time due to punishment to the body, Makhmudov could not continue.

Kabayel took on Chisora in 2017, as the heavyweights clashed in Monaco The bout was Kabayel’s 17th professional fight, while Chisora stepped in the ring with twice the amount of fights.

In what was a closely contested bout, Kabayel edged Chisora on the scorecards, winning by majority decision.

Despite both men having success in the bout, the less experienced fighter was able to do enough to maintain his undefeated record.
