Tyson Fury punched himself in the head in humiliating one-of-a-kind moment

Tyson Fury retired after two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, though fans still hope he’ll return to face Anthony Joshua one day.

Tyson Fury‘s record sits at 34-2-1 after he was handed his second loss in December 2024 against Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk gave Fury his first loss in May of the same year, and though some wrote ‘The Gypsy King’ off after his loss to the Ukrainian, there’s no shame in falling short against an elite talent like Usyk.

The real embarrassing moment of Fury’s career happened many years earlier, when Fury fought Lee Swaby.

Tyson Fury punched himself in the face in hilarious blunder

Fury fought Lee Swaby in 2009 in his fourth pro fight. He defeated Swaby via fourth-round stoppage, but not before first humiliating himself with a one-of-a-kind shot.

Fury, who sparred Stevie McKenna, threw an uppercut that missed its intended target and kept going, clocking ‘The Gypsy King’ in his own face.

Speaking on the incident Fury said: “The reason behind it was I was in a fight and I couldn’t really feel the other guy’s punches so I decided to punch my own self in the face.”

The punch led to much mockery of the British heavyweight, who defied doubters when he ascended the division and defeated Wladimir Klitschko.

Tyson Fury turned up to the biggest press conference of his career dressed as Batman

Fury, who AJ beat up in sparring, ran into the press conference in a full Batman suit before getting into a staged altercation with someone dressed as The Joker.

Batman left the presser and Fury entered shortly after. Though a crazy and hilarious stunt, it may have gone some way in Klitschko underestimating Fury.

Fury defeated Klitschko by unanimous decision. Klitschko is one of six common opponents between Fury and Joshua.
