Tyson Fury knocked out fighter who went on to savagely stop one of his biggest rivals

Tyson Fury stopped a fighter who pulled off a massive upset against David Price.

While ‘The Gypsy King’ and the Liverpudlian never faced off inside the professional ring, at points, their feud was one of the most intense in British boxing.

Price defeated Fury in a thrilling amateur bout, and in the years after, the pair never shied away from firing verbal shots at one another.

However, while their paths never crossed in the paid ranks, they did share a mutual opponent.

Tyson Fury stopped Christian Hammer before the Romanian knocked out David Price

On February 28, 2015, Tyson Fury went toe-to-toe with Christian Hammer, inside the O2 Arena in London, UK.

The Brit made easy work of his adversary, landing at will until his opponent’s corner pulled him out at the end of the eighth round.

Just under two years later, David Price stepped up to the plate, and almost won more emphatically than Fury, until things took a disastrous turn.

In the fifth round, the Scouser sent the Romanian tumbling towards the canvas with a thunderous uppercut.

However, he couldn’t finish his foe, and it came back to haunt him. Just two rounds later, Hammer landed a barrage of punches on an exhausted Price, prompting the referee to jump in.
