While Tommy Fury has extensive experience sparring Tyson Fury, his potential next opponent, Matty Floyd, has also done his fair share of rounds with a former heavyweight world champion.
The Australian warrior is chasing the former Love Island star in the hopes that he can secure a showdown with the 25-year-old on the KSI vs Dillon Danis undercard on March 29 at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK.
Floyd, who has previously spent time in prison, now goes above and beyond to help the next generation, regularly taking kids off the street and giving them an opportunity to learn how to box.
Now, with the biggest fight of his life on the cusp of being made, he’s excited to complete the fairytale ending to his Rocky Balboa story.

Tommy Fury rival, Matty Floyd, sparred Lucas Browne before Paul Gallen fight
Blessed with thunderous power and an iron will to win, Matty Floyd has developed a huge reputation in his homeland.
Therefore, it comes as no major surprise that despite an enormous size difference, ex-heavyweight King, Lucas Browne, drafted him in for sparring ahead of his grudge match against rugby legend, Paul Gallen, with the pair of Aussie sluggers trading bombs over the course of many a brutal round.
However, Browne isn’t just a teammate, but a man with whom Floyd has joined forces to prevent youngsters from going down the wrong path.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Knockout, the boxer explained: “Lucas and I are good friends. He was helping me at the gym with the youth. He used to help me a lot.
“I remember back when he was fighting Paul Gallen, I was his only sparring partner for like a year. We’re talking a 130-kilo, Lucas Browne, I’m an 80-kilo fighter, so a 50-kilo difference and I’m his main sparring partner, I was his only sparring partner for Paul Gallen.
“I actually cornered that fight.”
Unfortunately, ‘Big Daddy’ suffered a first-round knockout defeat to the former NRL star. However, in a testament to his self-belief, he quickly bounced back with major wins over Faiga Opelu and Junior Fa.
Matty Floyd warns Tommy Fury ahead of potential boxing match
While Floyd has had many big nights in Thailand and Indonesia, he’s now ready to fly over to the UK for a mega clash with Tommy Fury.
With a record of 15-0 (1 No contest), the formidable fighter is more than confident he has what it takes to finish the reality TV star.
With that in mind, Floyd has opened up about exactly how he’d beat Fury if they were ever to go head-to-head inside the ring.
