Tommy Fury, brother of Tyson Fury, became the first and only man to defeat both KSI and Jake Paul back in 2023, but has admitted it was his brother who may have caused the injury that postponed the Paul fight.
Tommy Fury and Jake Paul were initially set to fight all the way back in 2021, but Fury was forced to withdraw due to injury. Then, the pair were scheduled to fight in 2022, but again Fury withdrew, this time citing travel issues.
The fight eventually landed in 2023, with Fury defeating Paul via split decision, and Paul, who recently hinted that his next fight will land in the Middle East, sending him to the canvas in round eight.
Though Fury won, his withdrawal caused many to believe he was afraid of Paul, until he revealed how his brother was the true cause of his injury.

Tommy Fury reveals how his brother Tyson Fury broke his rib with a medicine ball
A year ago, Fury joined forces with the world’s strongest man, Eddie Hall, who previously sparred Viddal Riley, and told him the true reason behind his rib injury.
He said: “I moved onto the medicine ball, we’ve all seen the video and bang. Broke the ribs, and that was that.”
Fury is referring to a clip that went round on social media of Tyson Fury slamming his sides with a medicine ball to aid his conditioning and resistance to body shots ahead of the Paul bout. This obviously backfired, though, as the fight was postponed as a result of the drill.
Tommy Fury will fight former gang leader in next fight
Fury’s next fight is set to land on an event hosted by KSI’s promotional company, Misfits, and will see the Brit take on Australian Matty Floyd.
He spoke to Bloody Knockout in February, stating: “I fight awkwardly and I’m very aggressive and I’m far too powerful for my weight.”
Floyd’s record is 15-1, losing only to 98-5 boxer Sirimongkhon Lamthuam on a split decision.
The Aussie has been highly active since 2023 and fought nine times last year.
It is unclear when the bout will take place, though fellow Misfits star Anthony Taylor believes the Fury vs Floyd fight won’t happen at all.
