Terence Crawford has consistently proven himself to be one of the greatest fighters of the 21st century, thanks to his career dominance.
Considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, ‘Bud’ is set to take on fellow star Canelo Alvarez in September 2025.
The meeting between the two stars is set to be one of the biggest fights in recent years. Crawford will be looking to extend his record to 42-0 when he makes his super middleweight debut.
However, putting away top opposition has not been a problem for Crawford in the past. In 2015, Crawford had a dominant showing against a title challenger.

Terence Crawford stopped Dierry Jean in 2015 with three knockdowns
After Crawford claimed the vacant WBO World Super Lightweight title against Thomas Dulorme in April 2015, he aimed to defend it six months later.
In October 2015, Dierry Jean challenged Crawford for the world title. The Canadian Jean had a professional record of 29-1, with his only loss being a decision defeat to Lamont Peterson.
With 20 knockouts to his name, Jean was a fighter who clearly possessed stopping power. However, it was Crawford who was really able to showcase his finishing ability.
Extending his professional record to 27-0, ‘Bud’ had a dominant performance.
It appeared from the opening round that Crawford would be able to defend his title in style. In the closing seconds of the round, Crawford would catch the title challenger with a lead hook, sending him down as the bell rang.
Despite being put down, Jean would get back to his feet to continue the fight. However, he would continue to be on the receiving end of stinging shots from the undefeated champion.
Jean would land a significant punch of his own in the eighth round of the fight, but Crawford shook off the punch as he remained on his feet. Then, in the ninth round, Crawford would land his own stunning blow.
Again, in the final moments of the round, a left hand from Crawford put down Jean. Although the challenger protested that the shot was to the back of the head, he received a count from the referee.
In the final minute of the 10th round, Crawford would be able to put the challenger out. Almost knocking Jean out of the ring with a flurry of punches, Crawford successfully defended his world title.
Terence Crawford has won 11 of his last 12 fights via stoppage
If not for one man, Crawford could have been riding a significant stoppage streak going into his mega fight with Alvarez.
Earning an eighth-round stoppage over John Molina Jr. in December 2016, Crawford won his next 10 fights inside the distance. Among these wins included Crawford knocking out Julius Indongo, Amir Khan, and Shawn Porter.
A ninth-round TKO over Errol Spence Jr. would be ‘Bud’s’ 11th in a row, however, he would be taken the distance in his next fight.
Facing Israil Madrimov in the super welterweight division, Crawford was given a tough challenge by the fighter from Uzbekistan. ‘Bud’ was taken the distance for the first time in almost eight years, as their 2024 meeting ended in a unanimous decision win for Crawford.
