Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez will face off in Las Vegas this September in an epic clash between two pound-for-pound greats.
Terence Crawford will dare to be great as he jumps not one, but two divisions since his last fight against Israil Madrimov to face Canelo for all the super-middleweight marbles later this year.
Crawford is now 41-0 and is looking to dethrone the face of boxing in Vegas mega-fight.
Though many fans believe Canelo is simply too big for ‘Bud’ Crawford, there is one man who has fought them both and had some shocking insight into the fight.

Terence Crawford and Canelo both knocked out Amir Khan in six rounds
In 2016, with a record of 31-3, Canelo, whose fight with Scull saw the fewest punches recorded, defended his middleweight title against Amir Khan, who had himself jumped up in weight to face the elite Mexican.
Going into the sixth round, Khan’s bid for greatness seemed possible, as he was ahead on one judge’s scorecard and not behind by much on the others. The scores read 48-47 Khan, and 48-47, 49-46 Canelo.
However, Khan did not get the chance to adapt, as Canelo, who could face Chris Eubank Jr. next year, finished him brutally in the sixth round, leaving him staring at the ceiling unconscious.
Three years later, Khan, who hadn’t fought in 2017 at all but won twice in 2018, faced Crawford, who later KO’d Shawn Porter, for his WBO welterweight title.
Khan was dropped in the very first round, which spelled disaster for the Brit, even if he didn’t know it. Khan picked himself up and continued until the sixth round, where he was stopped again.
Going into that round, Crawford was up by a greater margin than Canelo, with the judges all scoring in favor of Bud with 50-44, 49-45, 49-45.
Amir Khan on who will win Canelo vs Crawford
In an interview with Pro Boxing Fans, Khan spoke on the future match-up and who he believed would win:
“I think Crawford, in my opinion, but size might matter. But then again, I think since I fought Canelo, Canelo’s become a better boxer.”
Khan did name Crawford as his pick, though in other interviews has said it could go either way. Though hesitant to be firm in his decision, it’s clear that the only mutual opponent between Crawford and Canelo is certainly not ruling out the smaller man.
