Skye Nicolson is set to defend her WBC featherweight title on the undercard of George Kambosos Jr. vs Jake Wyllie.
Skye Nicolson became a world champion in April last year against Sarah Mahfoud, and is coming off of a win over Raven Chapman in what was the first female world title fight to take place in Saudi Arabia.
Nicolson looks to move to 13-0 this weekend as she faces a dangerous 18-0 challenger who is used to facing a different kind of opponent.

Skye Nicolson defends her title against former police officer Tiara Brown
Nicolson’s next opponent is 18-0 Tiara Brown. Brown has 11 knockouts to her name where Nicolson has just one, and promises the announcer will read ‘And the new’ following their fight.
Brown, who is with Overtime Boxing, was a police officer in DC until 2021, meaning 11 of her 18 fights happened whilst the American was balancing working in law enforcement.
The former police officer has been highly vocal at face-offs and press conferences, in contrast to Nicolson’s more calm demeanor, but it remains to be seen whether Brown’s power will have an effect on Nicolson, or whether the Aussie’s style can nullify her opponent in front of a home crowd.
Brown slammed Nicolson’s win over Chapman, and accused her of running away.
“Skye has Tiara SHOOK”… Fans react to intense face-off between Skye Nicolson and Tiara Brown
The final face-off was an intense one, with Brown exchanging words with her Aussie opponent.
Fans were quick to comment on the altercation, with one writing:
“Skye looked rattled…and Eddie looked like he wanted to jump in”
Whilst another said: “Brown’s energy been high lol… we gon see the outcome tho”
One condemned Brown’s trash talk: “One shows class. The other, trash.”
The fight seems to have divided opinion, and is sure to be one of the highlights of the card, which also features Nina Hughes and Cherneka Johnson settling the score after an error marred their first fight, and George Kambosos Jr. looking to get his second win in four years, after Kambosos’ last win against Maxi Hughes left fans outraged.
Jake Wyllie, who was stopped by 0-2 Faavesi Isaako early in his career, will be seeking the upset in the now all-Australian affair.
