Matty Floyd is confident he can finish Shane Mosley when they go to war later this month.
On July 25, ‘The Jedi’ will battle it out with ‘Sugar’ inside the O2 Indigo in London, UK.
Floyd is taking a massive step-up against a genuine icon of the sport. Mosley has rocked the great Floyd Mayweather, defeated Oscar De La Hoya twice, and earned a place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
However, despite the superstar’s achievements, his Australian opponent believes he’s ready to trade leather with the three-weight world champion and come out on top.

With confidence coursing through his veins, Matty Floyd is adamant he has what it takes to stop Shane Mosley.
While the 36-year-old has a great deal of respect for the phenomenal competitor, he isn’t intending on taking it easy on him when they set foot inside the ring together on fight night.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Knockout, Floyd claimed: “I’m going to knock him out. He’s a legend, he’s a hero of mine, I don’t know how I feel about that, but that’s what’s going to happen.
“I don’t think he’d want anything but me to go out and fight at my best; he wouldn’t respect me unless I went out wanting to do that.
“I say that obviously respectfully, but that’s what is going to happen.”

Prior to finding out he’d got the fight with Mosley, Floyd was scheduled for a bout on the undercard.
At this point, he started reminiscing over one of the best memories from his time in the sport.
Long before they ever thought of fighting for real, the two boxers shared the ring together.
